Assignment 5, Project 4: event poster

Contemporary design. Carefully considered
typographic grouping of the information.  Easily understandable view of
the calendar events and you can quickly learn who the main speakers are. The poster also brings the excitement of contemporary design to an audience of designers and students. The
information itself completes the “imagery” of the poster.
The size is 11 x 17 – portrait format.
This poster is purely typographical. It have many fonts and colors.
I used my knowledge of visual order and design standard to include the following text in poster to convey the message in a logical manner.

I agree with David Berman about inappropriate use of Coca cola advertisements in the African Village’s. Coca cola is not helping African villages with its advertisements; it’s actually helping itself.  They should make a donation or make supporting advertisement to help them get assets from Malaria and other sicknesses. Coca cola should definitely make an organization that will help African people get assets to heal Malaria and other sicknesses.

 

Play Pumps by Trevor Field is a brilliant idea. Children are with the most power and playful power sores is the way to go, because it’s fun and environmentally friendly.

 

Cradle-to-Cradle by David Berman is a creative and futuristic idea (death is ahead of us not behind), which is good for long run. Life is short and unpredictable.  Plus bookshelves are not to so shocking to people and they are helpful.

 

Trevor Field and David Berman are great problem solvers in my opinion.

 

Helping Environment is the brightest idea but it also the hardest, if you don’t know what to do. That’s why it’s best not to rush in to it and do baby steps. Make cleaning look fun for adults as well as children. Show that eco system can be easy if you try.

Assignment 4: An Introduction to Advertising(new logo)

This logo was created for the Children  Aid Foundation assignment. I used 2 colors with multiple variation of shades. This colors represent happiness, love, health and peces.  I have changed Type face to Snap ITC Regular (24pt), to make it look more child like font.

I have change type face for all Headings and subheadings to a more appropriate fonts. The colors and style give the poster as a whole a more child-like look and feel. You should notice that the logo has also been changed to give a more nurturing tone in contrast to the previous outlined version.

I took pictures in photography class. Logo is my own design with inspiration from Children’s Aid Foundation. I’m using Times bold, some are all capital letters. With two colours dark orange for the letters and dark green for logo.

How about pumpkin calendar. It took me a wile to make words and letter go the way I wanted it. For some reason it gave error most of the time or save in an odd way.  I spaced number more or less equally to each other.

Flower gone wiled or spiral.

I think this is a funny/odd look since i started with a flower shape and now it  looks like a tornado or a drain. This took me a long time to make. It frustrated me at times, for i had to change the size of the letters and make sure they are readable.  I might straiten the month with a year, for they don’t look right.

D.D poster

I call this an odd but happy accident, because  shape designs are got lines that I haven’t made. It looks good. I generally had more text in mined but one of my friends told me that it looked more like a magazine cover then a poster, so I took some of the text off.  I’m not so sure, but something looks of.

Economy final assignment.

Revised and finalized artwork for the Concept Design. I have aded more shadow to the fingers, readjusted light on the islands and made economy sign thicker(golden). This final work have a bit of 3D effect look. I used gradient tool for the water, hand, dollar sign and background. Added 4 crescent shapes for the shine look on the phone. I used a wide variety of green on the land and the dollar sign whit borders to make stand up/out. Back ground took me wile to adjust the way i wanted.
